Welcome to my new website, please learn more by using the links on the left, but in the meantime, please take a minute to read the following which is on a more personable level.

ABOUT ME
Having been brought into the world in the year of 1972, my parents had a slight idea that I may have been destined for the arts, with my first performance in front of the fireplace during the year of 1975. (Early starter!!!) That must have been when I got the bug (due to thunderous applause from 2 pairs of hands) and it wasn't long before the stage called in Primary school!! Being born and bred in Bradford nurtured a strong Yorkshire accent, but when the amateur stage beckoned, having the same accent in every play had to change!!

Growing up
Appearing in the school play once or twice a year simply wasn't enough, so at the age of 14, I joined a theatre company called 'The Bradford Youth Players' and was a member of this group for 10 years. This was an incredible experience as I got to play a variety of roles in plays and musical theatre. Although I knew I had to gain some form of training, at that young age I had neither the funds or the experience to apply! Anyway, some of my most memorable roles with this group were 'Mickey' in 'Blood Brothers', 'Pilate' in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (we were the first amateur group in the north to be granted permission to perform it) and maybe my favourite 'The Leading Player' in 'Pippin - his life and times'.
However, my day job didn't have the same appeal, so it was only a matter of time before drama training beckoned and I was granted a placement at Bretton Hall, for a 3 year degree course in theatre acting.

Professional life
Having graduated in 2001, it wasn't long before I started working for Cragrats Theatre Company and stayed with them for almost 8 years. Some people view this as a mistake, but I view it as experience, as I got the chance in both TIE and corporate work to play a vast array of characters, both colourful and naturalistic. This also gave a vehicle for taking part in Panto (as the Dame(s)), viral and corporate training videos. However, it came to a time where we all had to move on. During this time and since then, as you may see in my credits, I am still having a great time in enjoying my work, and growing as an actor. Basically you could say I am still growing up, but it can't all come under the same title!!!!

Contact me
I am now back living in my native town Bradford as a lot of my previous work has involved touring. This means I am used to moving about lots and living out of a suitcase. I hold a full clean driving licence, but at the moment I don't possess a vehicle. This is not an issue as I am willing to travel anywhere on a train....or bus! Thank you for taking the time to read my page and please feel free to contact me!!
